Chapter 89. Nash’s Room
After we ate, he took me upstairs. We walked through the halls but didn’t go into any of the rooms. He takes me to a door on the wall that seems to be all by itself. It was clear that inside was a big room. When he opens the door, I feel my eyes get bigger. I was right, there is a big bed, a wall full of trophies and awards, a gaming system that would make any teen feel bad, and a large living area with a couch and two arm chairs.
"My room." He says this while putting his hands on his shoulders, and I have to clear my throat.
"What will you do with all this space? Run laps?" I make fun of him, and he laughs, picks me up, and carries me inside. I laugh and wrap my arms around the back of his neck.
"Stuff like that." He makes fun. "This isn’t my bedroom at all. I lived in an apartment when I went to school in the city. When my parents moved out here for good, I just put all of my things in this room."
