Chapter 91. Behind Closed Doors

"Hi." Nash sighs and looks like he’s in a lot of pain.

"And I think this must be Chloe." He smiles and puts out his hand to shake mine, and I do so. The strong way he shook my hand told me that he did that often. He was nice enough, but he was also very scary. He must have done his business from top to bottom.

I say, "Nice to meet you."

"Well, Astrid has been going on and on about the girl my son is dating. I smile back and he smiles. "I’m glad you could join us."

"I’m glad too."

"Son, I wanted to talk to you about something. If it’s okay, I’d like to take Chloe with me." I kindly agree with what his father says.

"Sure, I’ll see you later." When I whisper, Nash sighs and looks like he doesn’t want to leave. But he gives me a kiss on the face and walks through the kitchen with his dad. When I realize I’m alone, I feel like I’m going to die.

"Come along with me.&qu
