Chapter 13. Shattered Dreams

My heart sank at the revelation. I had barely escaped one form of captivity, only to be thrust into another. The weight of despair settled over me as I realized the depth of the woman’s deception.

“Tell me who you sold her to. We’ll deal with the situation as it should be dealt with. But I need to know who you have been selling our omegas to.” The alpha’s tone was threatening.  

“I’m afraid that’s confidential information. The buyer values discretion, you know. Now, the clock is ticking, sir. Pay up, or Rue is gone.” 

Zach clenched his fists at his sides, his anger flaring up even though he was trying so hard to contain it. “Listen here,” He said harshly as he marched towards the old lady, cornering her. “If you don’t tell me who the buyer is right this second, I will end you before burning your precious castle down to the ground.” His words were deadly cold.
