Chapter 187. It's Time to Leave

I felt so sorry for her, I held her in my arms as I tried my best to comfort her. She cried and I could only imagine how she felt. 

Imagine finding out that your father had been cheating on your mom for years with another man. I mean, being with another man was not wrong but the fact that he cheated with someone who Amber, her sister, and her mom had known to be only a friend…or even family at this point. 

I released her a bit and asked, “Have you told anyone else?” 

She shook her head. “No.” She sniffled. “Only you. I don’t want to tell my mom, especially not when they’re on vacation right now. She would crash out and I’m sure everything will change. There will be court hearings and divorce and yelling and crying. And crying,” She said the last two words with sadness. 

“I’m so sorry, Amber.” I gave her another hug before sighing and letting her go, bringing my arms to myself. “But you do you really think that moving out will help the situation?”
