Chapter 188. The Beach House
In minutes, our suitcases were at the back of the cab and we were on our way. The ride was quiet as we drove away from the house.
I glanced at Amber and she seemed to be lost in her thoughts. Her eyes were distant as she stared out the window.
I was happy that she was going away because come to think of it, she did need this. What she had found out about must have had her shaken. It was only fair for her to be away before she lashed out and made things worse.
I sighed and then looked away. My heart was pounding. But I was convinced that this was the right choice.
“Is it really? Running away from everything? Running away from the destiny, is it really the right choice?” Aria’s voice whispered in my heart and I felt so bad.
I did not even try to address her, I just lay my head on the window and kept staring outside as we were on our way. The ride took almost an hour but when we arrived, I was taken aback by the beachhouse.
