Chapter 226. Heart-to-Heart

The air was so cold and chilly, and even though I had some warm clothes on, I still could not help but feel it. 

I could not stop looking around, there was snow everywhere and so many lights. The smile on my face just would not go away. Darco led the way toward the front porch and I followed him, glancing around as I did. 

Soon, we were inside of the house, the cold air locked outside as the warm enveloped us. Inside was decorated just as much, and when I walked toward the living room, I saw a huge tree sitting there. 

It looked so good and my mind was blown by how I could actually feel the Christmas spirit. This was something I had never experienced. There were a few presents under the tree and that sparked an excitement in me. 

The younger version of me would have loved this. Younger Rue had always wanted to experience Christmas this way. It was always a dream. So seeing it all happen and unfold right before my eyes felt so unreal.
