Chapter 228. The Real Truth

I had no idea what the blonde girl was doing but she had my full attention. I believed that whoever or whatever had brought me here, that it was for a reason. 

Vanessa stared at the thumb drive in her hand for a few more seconds and then stood to her feet. She walked towards the desk that sat in the room and opened up her laptop, inserting the drive into the machine. 

I walked closer to her, closing the distance between us because I wanted to know what was on the drive. Once she had inserted it into her laptop, she typed in her password, and with a few clicks here and there, a video started to play. 

She watched intently and I did the same thing. On the laptop, I could see that it was the elders’ chambers. A lot of people were gathering and everything seemed to look normal. Vanessa breathed out air and then fast-forwarded the video until she came to a stop.
