Chapter 25. Ice Cream Confessions

“Hello, welcome to Della’s Ice Cream Shop, how are you today?” The woman behind the counter asked, flashing a smile. 

“Sh*tty…I feel sh*tty,” Zach caught me off guard by saying. 

“What?” I asked at the same time that the lady said, ”Well, I’m sorry to hear that, sir.” 

He looked at me, a goofy grin on his face. Without saying anything to me, he turned back to the lady and continued, “I feel sh*tty because I have not had any ice cream yet. One lick is all I need to have the best day of my life.” His eyes glinted with humor, and I understood right then that he was only joking.

The lady laughed lightly. “Mm-hmm,” She replied, rolling her eyes playfully. “So what flavor would you two be getting?”

I felt much better, the service here was great, and for once, my status as omega was not shoved in my face every two seconds.
