Chapter 261. Fate on My Side

Darco gave me one last look, his expression a mix of determination but I could sense his worry too. Then he walked out of the room. The sound of the door shutting behind him echoed through the hollow chamber, and for the first time in hours, I felt a glimmer of hope. 

The clock was still ticking though, and I knew I had only bought myself a fraction of time if any of this was going to work. But I needed what May was working on concerning Alan to really work because that was what was going to prove my innocence and take me out of this horrible place.
