Chapter 263. I Know What to Do

As the door clicked shut behind her, her words echoed in my mind. “Don’t do anything that the hurt and broken version of you who was abused by these people wouldn’t do.”

I paced the room, the paper-thin walls feeling like they were closing in on me. My heart was in a tug-of-war with my mind. The deal was a lifeline—freedom from the looming death penalty. But the conditions…they wanted me to give up my fight for justice, to let Elder Robert, Storm, and the rest of them just walk away unscathed. 

And honestly, it just didn’t feel right. It didn’t. 

I sank into the chair, resting my head in my hands. This wasn’t just about me. If I took the deal, they would win again, sweeping their crimes under the rug and continuing to manipulate and oppress anyone who dared to stand in their way. 

If I accepted their deal, I may not ever get another opportunity to make them pay. And Zach’s position as alpha might be taken away and given to Storm. And with the guy in c
