Chapter 270. The Spirit Realm
I lay there, feeling stripped of every wall I’d ever built, every defense I’d ever clung to. The weight of it all pressed down on me like a tidal wave, but somewhere in the depths of my agony, I felt something else—a faint stirring, like the first flicker of light after an endless night.
“Good,” Aria;’s voice broke through the fog in my mind, gentle yet firm. “You’re not running anymore.”
“I feel…empty,” I croaked, my throat raw from crying. “I feel broken.” I could not even move. It was not like I did not have the ability to do that, I just did not have enough strength.
