Elder Robert’s face drained of all color. He slammed his fist on the table, rattling the glasses and bottles atop it. “This is stupid. No, this is preposterous! You’re framing me, you little b*tch!” His voice cracked with desperation, a sound I’d never heard from him before. 

But gosh, it felt good to hear it from him though. And damn, he was so good at pretending. What did he mean by I was framing him? He was guilty as charged, the very same way he was guilty of what had happened to Vanessa.
