Chapter 277. Forgiveness

I exhaled deeply, my mind racing. This was a victory, but it was bittersweet, and it was not like it was the end. I still had my innocence to prove, and things had just gotten a bit more complicated. 

Also, there was a darkness coming that I could feel so strongly. I wondered if the others could feel it too. Maybe they could but they did not know what it was or how to explain it. 

Alan was the key to everything for now. I knew that May would have been able to convince the guy to find a way to get the footage of what had happened in that basement. But if he got arrested, why would he even want to help me? 

“Yeah, I know,” I replied, flashing them a small sad smile. “I will find a way,” added, while nodding. “Everything is going to fall into place. But I need to tell you guys something. There is a darkness coming, a great war that might happen and we need to be prepared.” 

“We know,” Storm replied, taking me aback. 

“Wait, what?”
