Chapter 289. Passion in the Dark
“It’s done,” Darco said to me as he turned in my direction. We were sitting on the floor, our backs to the wall. It was dark, we did not want to put on the lights before the neighbors noticed that someone was in there.
They all knew that Alan was in prison and that May and her daughters were out of town, so if they were to see any kind of bright light from in there, it was going to be suspicious and they were probably going to call the police.
And we did not want that.
So the only light in the living room right now was the dim one coming from the laptop screen on Darco’s lap. His eyes locked with mine in the low light and I could see how beautiful they were.
I was lost and my heart thumped in my chest. But this time, it was not
