“I trust him,” I replied to Storm, and then I walked over to the couch he was sitting in and sat next to him. There was a small distance between us though. 

“You do?” He raised a brow. “Do you really know him?” 

“I lived in his pack, under the same roof as him for a while, so yeah, I think I do. I also trained with him every morning and we had verbal fights every now and then. Trust me, I think I know him. At least more than I know you.” I wiggled my brows for a second. 

He chuckled, wetting his lips as he adjusted himself on the couch. “Alright, you win. You’ve got a point. If anything, you should trust him more than you do me. I’m the one who literally tried to kill you.” His smile faded a bit. “You see, that’s just one of the reasons I have to leave this town. I can’t be here. It’s just too much.”
