Chapter 19
Narrator’s POV
Lucas was busy watching the movements of the water alone when Quinn came to where he was. She was wearing loose clothing that revealed a great deal of her body, which he considered very inappropriate for her to wear.
“What are you doing?” Lucas asked Quinn, staring into her eyes.
“I am doing what I like,” Quinn responded. “Or don’t you like what you are seeing?”
Lucas hissed in anger, wondering how far Quinn was ready to go just to get his attention.
“How many times am I going to tell you that I am not interested in you?” Lucas asked. “No matter what you wear. No matter how you dress, it is still not going to change the fact that I am not interested in you.”
Quinn felt a bit hurt, and she couldn’t hide how she felt about his statement. “Why are you always treating me this badly?” she asked. “Why?”
