Chapter 33
I gave birth to my child with Vince on the first day of the new month. I wasn’t expecting to feel the pangs of the baby preparing to come out from me when I woke up at 6 AM with the mindset of preparing some tea for myself to drink.
“Would you like to drink some tea too?” I asked Vince, who was busy focused on reading something in a newspaper that I couldn’t clearly see because of where I was standing.
“Don’t add too much sugar to my tea,” Vince finally found the voice to reply. “And don’t forget to make sure it is as creamy as possible.”
I rushed to the kitchen, my heart pounding with a mix of excitement and nervousness. The idea that our little one might be on the way was both thrilling and overwhelming. The kettle hissed as I filled it with water, and the aroma of the tea leaves filled the room.
