I turned to the wall with frustration and rammed my fist into it repeatedly until it broke.

I went to the room where Winter was and I saw Lucas was already sitting by her side. Every fiber of my being wanted to lash out at him again, to blame him for everything, but the sight of Winter in such a vulnerable state overwhelmed me.

She was the priority, not our petty disputes.
