Winter’s POV

I coughed weakly as my eyes slowly fluttered open. At first, everything was a blurry haze, but as my vision cleared, I saw Lucas. A smile managed to escape my lips when I saw him, and it he was on the verge of tears on seeing me awake.

Lucas leaned in and passionately kissed me. It was a moment of pure relief and joy, and we were lost in each other’s embrace.
