Alex's POV

Nathan stood in front of me, a small smile playing on his lips. "Looks like you've had a tiring day, Alex. You fell asleep on the couch. I apologize if I startled you."

I sat up, rubbing my eyes and trying to gather my thoughts. "No worries, Nathan. I must have dozed off. It's been a busy day, but I'm glad I was able to get a lot done."

He nodded, glancing around the room. "I can see that. The house looks much better already. You've done a great job."

A sense of pride welled up within me at his words. It felt good to be appreciated for my hard work. "Thank you, Nathan. I'm glad you're satisfied with the results."

He gestured towards the dining area. "I brought some dinner for us. Thought we could eat together."
