Alex's POV

Kyle chuckles and glances at his boss, Nathan, who seems to be thoroughly enjoying the situation.

"We have a more casual relationship outside of work, so I call him by his name. But in a professional setting, I address him as my boss," Kyle explains, still smiling.

Nathan nods in agreement. "That's right. We've known each other for a long time, and we're good friends outside of work. It helps create a comfortable working environment."

I take a moment to process the information, feeling a mixture of relief and curiosity. "I see. That explains the familiarity between you two. It's nice to have a good relationship with your boss."

Kyle nods, his smile softening. "Yes, I'm lucky to have Nathan as my boss. He's been supportive and understanding, both in and out of the workplace."

Nathan raises his glass in a toast. "And I'm lucky to have Kyle as my employee. He's talented and hardworking. Cheers to our unique dynamic!"
