Alex's POV

I woke up with a heaviness in my body, the aftermath of a passionate night that left me with lingering pain. As a werewolf, I expected my recovery abilities to be swift, but the intensity of our mating session seemed to have a lasting effect.

Mating... the realization struck me like a lightning bolt. Beside me lay Nathan, peacefully asleep, oblivious to the flood of emotions and thoughts rushing through my mind. We both lay there, vulnerable and exposed in our nakedness.

Panic welled up within me as the weight of our actions settled in. Flashes of the previous night's events replayed in my mind, sending a surge of desire through my body. I slipped on my shorts, wincing in discomfort as I felt the burning sensation in my tender regions.

We had allowed our passion to consume us, perhaps too eagerly. I couldn't help but wonder if Nathan felt taken advantage of and if he regretted our encounter as much as I feared he might.
