Chapter 119. All Messed up

Clint’s POV

I knew Keira was hiding something from me. From the moment she walked into my office, I noticed how different she was. Her skin was so pale that it had lost all its color. Black circles adorned the bottom of her eyes. Her sweatshirt and sweatpants were way too casual to wear outside.

I wanted to press her on it, but I did not want to force it out of her. However, the moment she avoided my touch, I needed to know what the hell was going on. As I towered over her, she still seemed reluctant to tell me what the hell was happening.

Then, I noticed how her eyes trailed away from me, and at that moment, her face got way paler than it already was. She was frozen, and I began to notice her legs were trembling.

Before I could speak, Keira fell to the ground, her eyes wide as she kept looking behind me.
