Chapter 35
Elena clicked her tongue as she watched Isla and Fabian argue from her room window. They were in the garage, and she couldn't make out their words. She wondered what the bitter look on Fabian's face was about. But she understood how Isla could easily rile one up.
She turned back to the rumpled sheets on the bed, her face grimacing. Fabian, Rebecca, and her father wouldn't join the rest of the family for breakfast this morning. They had an important meeting at the company and would rather have breakfast there. So, it was just her, Isla, Leo, and Isabella left. And so, there was no way she could join them at the table to eat.
She picked the receiver from its rest and punched the number of the kitchen. Meg answered the call.
"I'd like my breakfast served in my room," she said. "I won't be eating in the dining room."
"Alright," Meg said.
