Isla’s finger traced the wild lilacs as she watched the American Robins and Blue Jays ride the wind. Her mind was on something she had never thought about before–what she would do when the revenge plan was over.
All she could focus on was revenge and more revenge. But there was a time when she dreamed of building a successful career and starting a family with the man she loved. That man used to be Leo. She laughed at herself. She had really been a fool to think that she and Leo would end up together.
"I consider the lupines the most beautiful," Leo’s voice filtered in.
She didn’t turn. They hadn’t spoken since his engagement party. He’d been too busy at the office for them to talk.
