Chapter 65
Fabian walked in on Douglass lying by the poolside. The latter was wearing only shorts. The sun shone on Douglass's bare chest.
Fabian didn’t like how close Douglass was getting to Elena. He didn't like to listen to them chatter over wine. He didn’t like how Elena smiled and giggled whenever she was around Douglas.
And he didn’t like the amount of time they were spending together. Douglass pretended not to notice Fabian's presence by the poolside. He kept on staring into the bright sky.
It was not that Fabian was beginning to develop feelings for Elena or that he was jealous. He just didn’t want any other man to influence Elena's thoughts and actions. He wanted to have Elena totally under his control until the plan was completed.
"I know you have eyes for my wife," he said to Douglas.
"Is that so?" Douglas responded, still looking into the sky.
