Chapter 68

Edward keyed the engine of the car to stop. Feeling a little sleepy, he yawned. Swiftly, he climbed out of the car and headed towards the front door. As instructed by his boss, Lorenzo had to get some documents from the study and take them back to the company.

He pushed open the front door. He heard voices. Looking up, he saw Leo and Lionel. They were standing close to the landing of the staircase. And suddenly, Leo pulled something out of Lionel‘s hands. The latter tripped and fell, his body violently tumbling down the stairs.

Edward's mouth fell wide open. He looked up at a mortified Leo. But before he could do anything, the boy’s body had landed on the Calacatta flooring, blood dripping from his head.

Shocked, he looked up again and saw Bianca standing close to Leo. Shock clustered her eyes. He rushed to the unmoving boy whose eyes were shut.
