Chapter 6
“Can we start the meeting now?”
Dylan’s howls echoed over the room, and even Jared shook from the intensity of it from where he was perched in hiding and eavesdropping on what they were saying.
The room fell silent as men stood, glued to their spots. Seconds later, they hurried to where they were to sit and settled down, folding their legs over each other as they waited for further words from their alpha.
Dylan sighed, rubbing at his forehead in agony, and winced. If he were human, he would have been alarmed at his incessant headaches lately, but he knew he was not at risk of any life-threatening disease, and his banging head was only a result of stress and anxiety.
He looked at his mate and smiled when she glanced back at him, her eyes twinkling affectionately as her lips stretched in a smile.
She extended her hand and took his, squeezing it in a show of support.
Jared scoffed when he heard nothing else again from the room
