Chapter 5
Sprinting across the woods, he went on, the leaves zagging by his ears as he moved at full speed, rushing out of the town before the sun twinkled in the sky.
He went past the cave, past the entrance he had gone through, and walked through the path he had seen the other day when the beta wolves escorted him out.
He moved, his hands feeling against the wall to steady his movement and avoid being spotted by any of the wolves wandering about.
His eyes shone in the bright moonlight as he averted twigs and dried leaves on the floor.
He exhaled a sigh of relief as the hut he envisaged in his mind came into full view, a sight of joy to his desolate heart and weary legs.
He walked toward the hut, craning his neck to ascertain if anyone was around. Nodding in satisfaction at himself when he checked and the coast looked clear, he crept in, keeping his head down as his eyes darted through the room.
