Chapter 27. Family Dynamics

The lady began applying cosmetics to Jessie's face. As she applied eyeliner to Jessie's eyes, Jessie closed her eyes. "She has blond hair as well. She is petite." The lady could tell Jessie wasn't at ease as she spoke. "Would you like me to go on?"

"Yes. I'd like to learn more about this young lady. What is her name, exactly?"

"I'm not sure but he calls her babe," she said.

"Is that so?"

"They appeared to be in love." She went to refix Jessie's brows after applying the lashes.

Jessie stated, "I want gentle make-up."

"I didn't intend to make something hefty. You don't need much makeup on your face because you're already attractive."

Jessie blinked open her eyes. "Is it always quiet here? It appears to be too big for just one person."

The lady smiled. "Whenever Mr. Cooper brings the girl over, he usually buys this place out. I'm the only one that works on her, and he doesn't want anyone else to know what he's up to, so he pays t
