Chapter 9. Oh, Mother!
I shivered as I felt the cold wind embrace my face, I was standing in front of a grocery shop contemplating whether to go in or not. I still had some foodstuffs at home so there wasn't really any need to go grocery shopping but then I didn't have anything else to do and a few more groceries never hurt anyone.
I walked into the grocery store which was even more cold because of the air conditioning, determined to get out of the store quickly, I grabbed a cart and began walking along every aisle making sure to buy everything I needed, not like I really needed anything. My kitchen was still packed with food but grocery shopping was the only thing that calmed me down.
The sound of shopping carts being pushed, families arguing about what to buy, a teenager on the phone with her mum asking what she should get and most importantly, the refreshing sounds of items being scanned.
