Chapter 8. Her Jealous Side

I walked out of the office building in a state of urgency, I had taken permission from Mr Jones to leave work early with the excuse of going to gather some Intel on Alessio D'Amelio but really I was going to meet up with Chris to tell him that I was no longer interested in investigating Alessio. 

I had called him earlier and we agreed to meet up at a local coffee shop where neither of us would be recognized to protect both our reputations. I was a notable investigative reporter who was known for exposing shady businessmen so me being seen with a controversial businessman like Christopher was definitely going to spark up rumours, and he on the other hand had a fiancee so he wouldn't want her thinking that he was cheating on her.

I hailed a cab to the coffee shop which was located at the other side of town and coincidentally not far from Alessio's company. The car came to an halt in front of an old run down shack and I was tempted to go home instead but the cab driver assure
