Chapter 27. Too Much Glaring
I woke up trying to hug my daughter, only to figure out that she's not in bed anymore. I looked at the alarm clock beside me, and it was only six o'clock in the morning.
I woke up too early.
Cadence is also not in bed. I only figured out that they were together when I heard Dahlia's laugh outside of the room. I was still scratching my eyes when I went to the living room and found them playing while Cadence was busy tying Dahlia's hair.
This sight of her with my kid was so unusual in the morning. I was about to join them when I suddenly remembered what happened last night before I struggled to put myself to sleep.
She kissed me.
On the forehead.
That only made her kiss special, as she didn't take advantage of kissing me on the lips and instead gave me a sign of respect upon kissing me on the forehead.
"Are you malfunctioning?" I was totally awaken
