Chapter 28. Confession

I spent the whole afternoon not talking to a single soul in the office. Even Lexie couldn't find the right words to approach me because I knew that my expression just said it all.

First of all, I admit that I'm feeling jealous, or maybe I'm also feeling envious about that woman with her in the restaurant.

Nevertheless, I'm still not in the mood to talk to anyone.

Cadence kept calling me the whole afternoon too, but I immediately turned off my phone when I got so annoyed by the sound of it. I'm not really a jealous type of girl, but I do sometimes overreact when someone else gets the same privilege as me.

Like what happened earlier, she's smiling at her. As far as I know, she doesn't smile like that while having a lunch meeting or something. She always has that poker face of hers.
