Chapter 35. Cadence

CADENCE

The next day, I felt horrible after what I said to her. I didn't know how I even pushed those kinds of words on her, so she left me there. I was just planning to do something with her for a simple afternoon date, but I guess my words this time were too harsh.

After that day, just to punish myself, I pushed myself to work and stayed in the office until midnight just so I wouldn't think of the things I told her that day. I've never been like this before. I was selfish and too proud before, but I was never harsh, and I'm even more careful with my words. But now I'm changing into a person I don't even want to be.

The following days, I just kept working until I found myself talking to my online friend, asking her indirectly about my problem. We were talking about our meetup, but I kind of changed the topic, and now we're talking about my problem.

@not_your_typical_girl: Not really; I'm just bothered
