Chapter 7. The Answer Is No
The air inside her car was so thick that I could almost choke myself up. The mood was even more awkward, and with her not talking at all, it makes me sick for the entire drive right now.
I looked for my phone in my bag and started to type something before I forgot that I have more responsibilities to do than letting myself be dragged by this woman. I texted Lexie to see if she could go to my apartment to take care of the whole thing in there just for tonight, as I felt that I wouldn't make it on time to go home.
"Where do you want to eat?"
I flinched as I heard her talk for the first time in a long time. I can't think of any place to go, so I just told her the name of the fast food restaurant that is almost near us along the road.
She took a glance at me for a second while I was still looking at the road in front of us. I could see her from my peripheral view. Her eyes are too intense to look at, though they don't give off any emotion at all.
