Chapter 14. Don't Get Involved
Cadence really looked so cold, even if her eyes were closed, while we were both sitting in the garden area on the third floor of this hospital. The wind was not also helping, and it seems like any moment I'll be having a major argument with her.
She's not speaking at all. That's even more scary.
She's just sitting straight while her arms are across her chest, and I can only hear her deep breaths from time to time. When I check my watch, it's almost time for me to go to the office for the new employees I need to train today.
Even though it's scary, I softly tapped her shoulder with only one finger. I was hoping she would not look me straight in the eye, but then it just happened when she turned in my direction.
