Chapter 18

After he said that, he got inside the boardroom while Melisa was frozen in place. She stayed for a few minutes. She hesitates to enter the boardroom. She knew Ajdin's business partners were already inside that huge boardroom. She still fears Ajdin. But she heard Ajdin's voice calling her. The tone of his voice is now sweet. She knows Ajdin is just pretending in front of the people in that room.

"Melisa, will you please come inside?" I need you here. Ajdin spoke sweetly, hiding his annoyance towards Melisa. He knows he needs to act righteously in front of his business partners.

When Melisa hears Ajdin's voice, she walks towards the boardroom door and gets inside. She sees him standing and talking to his business partners; the meeting has not yet started.

When Ajdin's business partners see Melisa, they greet her. However, Melisa chooses to remain standing in the boardroom corner away from Ajdin and his business partners.
