Chapter 2

That would certainly be the biggest and most dangerous race ever made. Sebastian was prepared for anything.

When finally the night of the race arrived, he watched his beloved Emma get ready with excitement, as much as Emma was scared, it was one of his favorite events, Sebastian watched her putting on a pair of tight jeans and an off-the-shoulder blouse with a few delicate and subtle flowers, leaving the belly skin on display. He smiled, that outfit looked like something the old Emma wore too.

Emma styled her blonde hair, did her subtle makeup, and wore her signature perfume. She was definitely the prettiest First Lady among all the gangs. He followed in the car along with Sebastian. Even though she was nervous and scared, she was excited that it was still one of her favorite events.

Upon arriving at the arena, she noticed the large movement of people. Some of Sebastian's men were separated at strategic points spread throughout the arena, even though the attack of weapons, whether fire or white, was prohibited, the men at their points held large machine guns, and had their bodies full of ammunition.

"What's the order, sir? Should we kill him as soon as we see him?" Pietro asked.

"It would be lovely if that were the case" Sebastian said. "But unfortunately we can't kill him yet. Not today. Besides the fact that the event is forbidden to kill anyone, if James comes back to power, which is very likely to happen, he'll be pissed off. if only he knew I killed one of our own. Even though he's a big motherfucker Malak who doesn't give a fuck to all of us."

"But what if we attacked and told James when he got back that it was just defense?" Ramon proposed, laughing as he approached as well.

"James is not stupid. I would get a new punishment for that and all the gangs around would stop following my rules."

"But isn't it worth it, sir?" Ramon asked, truly curious." I mean, we can talk to the other gangs, Malak is tormenting everyone, his death would be profitable. Besides, last time, your... your punishment was severe, I know, but this time Once, at least, Malak would be dead. It would be a sacrifice to make. And if you allow it, I'll take the blame myself."

"You, Ramon?" Sebastian smiled, denying it. "James doesn't kill me, but he will kill you and anyone else who isn't a leader. You're one of my best men, you wouldn't risk your life for my protection."

"So you'd rather risk it?"

Sebastian looked at him seriously, understanding that.

"I can think about how to act. If it's more valid, I'll kill Malak and face the consequences, but not you, understand?"

"Understood, boss." Ramon assured.

Sebastian smiled, but he really didn't know what to do about Malak. The initial plan was to arrest him and keep him under control, but if they killed him, that would be over for good.

But the question is: was it really worth it?

The horn sounded from the middle of the arena that simulated a race track and Sebastian listened. Some runners arrived on the track at that moment.

The turbo cars pulled up beside Sebastian's. The host descended, greeting the men who might have been his enemy one day, but who for that one day were like allies.

"You did a great job on the prize, didn't you?" one of them spoke." announced a hundred thousand dollars? I was surprised when I had to send my share of it."

"It's a fair price for everyone. Today we have a great race." Sebastian replied.

"Certainly."

"Any sign of Malak?" another man asked. He had already suffered from Malak's attacks and lost many men.

"Still none." Sebastian replied, "but we're on the lookout. We don't want any rules broken, but Malak will be stopped the second he sets foot in here."

"Good to know. It was difficult to bring my men here to act in peace. They all want to kill Malak. Without James in the country, it is necessary to maintain order, but Malak does not follow it, it is disrespectful to the point that we want his head. "

"And I know how that feeling is, dear colleague." Sebastian smiled at the man, leaving two pats on his shoulder.

Emma was sitting next to Ramon. Katy wasn't there, as she wasn't part of the gang anymore, she wasn't allowed to be at events like that anymore, but Emma missed having her there with her to cheer and celebrate for her men.

Pietro would not run that night, he was attentive with the other men.

Emma approached Sebastian just as the race was about to start.

"Have a good luck, love." she said, kissing him tenderly.

Men around envy Sebastian for having such a faithful and beautiful lady. Emma was already well known to everyone, but she had never gotten into trouble or gossip other than to protect Sebastian from surprise attacks.

Sebastian left a pat on her bottom when she finally turned and left the track and heed the horn and the flag that started the race.

And when that sound echoed, one of his feet let go of the brake while the other accelerated without mercy. Smoke and dust billowed from his tires, and at first, he didn't lead the way.

It was always like this. Sebastian let them use full engine power early on, and in the final laps, he overtook them.

In the bleachers, Emma cheered. On the last lap, Sebastian led. The finish line was marked by her tires and she celebrated when her boyfriend won by making several circles of dry sand with the car.

"Hey mate, nice win." Sebastian heard one of the runners greet him.

He smiled, acknowledging every congratulations and compliment, but reached for his own weapon when the entire arena went out of power.

"Attentive!" he yelled, still in the middle of the racetrack.

Some music was playing over the speakers, and Malak's laughter echoed.

"He is here." One of the neighboring gang leaders shouted, perhaps for his men to beware.

"Don't shoot anything or anyone unless you're sure." Sebastian ordered, "I don't want anyone hurt."

The main light returned, so Sebastian, along with the others, looked around.

"Sebastian!" Emma screamed. Sebastian looked at her. There was just a laser mark right on her chest. Someone was taking aim and threatening to kill Emma.

Sebastian grunted, took a step forward, but another gun was pointed at Emma, making her now the target of two lasers, one in her chest and the other in her forehead.

"Well, well, dear first lady." Malak's voice rang out again. "Are you afraid?"

"Leave her alone, treat me like a man, you piece of shit!" Sebastian screamed. Pietro analyzed where the lasers were coming from. There didn't really seem to be anyone there, it was like a small, dark drone that lurked at night, so he bent down and took aim, analyzing what best he had to do.

"You love her?" Malak's voice resounded. "Oh, of course you do. Did you accept her even after that?"

"That one?" Sebastian whispered. He frowned and saw Ramon look at Emma.

"Of course, even after one of my men raped her like the whore she is and deserves. You didn't even want to kill me for that? I didn't know you enjoyed sharing your little whore that much."

Sebastian still had his eyes on Emma, the girl was standing still, crying and now squinting in denial.

"That's a lie!" Sebastian screamed.

The sound of the shot echoed and Pietro shot down the drone that was aiming at Emma.

Ducking quickly, she was shielded by Ramon.

And while everyone ran and tried to find Malak, Sebastian was still standing there, feeling his own world crumble.

Sebastian was in shock.
