Both were quiet, the tears had already stopped and they just enjoyed each other's company, being supportive and comforting.
"Know what you should do?" Katy spoke.
She and Emma had already talked for hours. Emma had already opened up for the first time with a real person and told her how she really felt. The feeling of inadequacy hurt Katy the most. She made it clear how much she wanted to be stronger. How much he wanted to have killed the men who had hurt him with their own hands, because, even dead, they continue to haunt his dreams.
"What?" Emma didn't look up to look at her, but paused the boring movie they were watching to kill time and not think about the worst again.
"We should go out and burn some cash." Katy said, smiling.
Emma also smiled, but denied it, curling up more in the duvet that covered them.
"No… I don't have a lot of money."
