I watch as she sits at the table, her eyes glancing between us, waiting for one of us to speak.

 “Look, before you agree and decide you need to know things. Me and my brothers run the city, and running it isn’t something for the faint-hearted. I meant it when I said that you need to get used to blood and death.” She looks at me staying quiet.

 “People in the city push, and we have to push back, if we show weakness we would lose power. Depending on the person, what they did we will punish them in a way we see fit. Maybe just be by hurting them a little, could be them losing a finger or two, or it could be hours of torture until they bleed out.” 

 “Blunt heartless cunt.” I look at Calix and shrug.

 “Better blunt heartless cunt, then soft and her freak out and think what the hell did I agree to.” He knows I am right which is why he is allowing this.
