Chapter 24. Shopping

I wake up and smile. I vaguely remember waking at some point and I was wrapped around Calix, however, he is no longer here. Climbing from the bed I shower before going into the room. I stop when I see clothes folded on the chair with a note on it.

Picking it up I read it.

Wear these today.

Putting the clothes on I get sorted and walk out. I stop when I see Marcello sitting alone, his eyes fixed on the laptop as he talks on the phone. As he hears me he stops talking and looks up.

"Sure, get it sent through now. I will call later." I watch as he points to the table. "You missed breakfast, eat then we need to leave." Nodding, I sit and eat, the room silent except for the sound of his fingers against the keys of the laptop.

Even with the sound of him working, I can still feel his eyes on me as I eat. Finishing I carry the plate through and wash it. Walking back out he is waiting.

"Troy, this is Daisy."
