Chapter 144
Theo’s POV
It’s well past three when I finally step into the house. The hall is dark, but the trail of clothes scattered along the floor catches the faint glow from the lamp in the corner. I snort under my breath. She definitely taunted one of them tonight. Maybe both.
That should be enough to settle the knot in my gut. It should reassure me that she’s safe, that everything’s fine. But it doesn’t. My stomach’s still twisted, my mind still spinning with the image of him watching her like she’s something he owns.
I grab her bag off the hook and carry it into the kitchen. Dropping into the chair, I pull out her phone and plug it into my laptop. It only takes a few seconds before I find the hidden app sitting beneath all the innocent-looking files.
Of course. The fucker’s still trying to track her.
