“Benjamin Banks is back!”

The words rang in my ear like a gunshot.

My hands became clammy immediately.

“Valerie!” Patrick continued. “What are we going to do?” He asked with a hint of fear and urgency in his voice.

I let out a deep sigh, biting my fingertips. “What does he want?”

Benjamin was Patrick’s older brother. They never saw eye to eye and they had a clash in the past because of their family’s company.
