“I missed you so much, Alexis.” I smiled at her as she sat down on the chair across from me. “How have you been? It feels like forever.”

Alexis let out a deep exhale. “As usual, I’ve been swamped with work.” She responded with a light chuckle. “I’ve missed you too. How have you been?”

I shrugged my shoulders. “I’ve just been here, trying my best to stay healthy because of my unborn baby,” I said, my hands landing on my stomach.

“Awwww.” Alexis squealed. “I can’t wait to meet the baby. Do you know what gender it is already?” She asked with a hint of curiosity in her voice.

I shook my head. “Not yet. Patrick wants us to know at the baby shower.” I said, tucking a strand of loose hair behind my ear. “I hope you’ll be able to attend the shower.”
