Valerie Will POV

“Is everything okay?” Alexis asked when she noticed the change in my demeanor.

I rolled my eyes. “We’ve just been here for how long? But they’ve already taken a picture and circulated it online with trashy comments.” I replied through gritted teeth, frustration evident in my voice.

Alexis took my phone from me and read the headlines aloud. “Valerie Will’s finally spotted outside a few weeks after her delivery. But we still don’t know who the father is — Patrick or Jamal.”

Her lips pressed together, her eyes blazing with anger. “Those people are out of their minds. I’m so sorry, Valerie.”

I let out a bitter scoff. “You don’t have to apologize. I was the one who asked to leave the house.” I said with a sigh. “Jamal isn’t even in my life anymore, why can’t they just move on?”

Alexis’s expression softened. “You don’t have to listen to them. They’re just looking for something to talk about. Don’t let it get to you.
