Chapter 158
Patrick Banks POV
I had to threaten the security guards before I could get into my mother’s compound. I was fuming with rage but I suppressed it.
I wanted to have an amicable conversation with her, hoping she would fix all the damage she had caused — if she was actually the one behind it.
Of course, I knew that working for the mafia wasn’t legal. But even though my mother found out about something like that, she had no right to take it public.
That was very selfish and inhumane of her.
As I stepped into the living room, I saw my sister, Madeline, sitting on the couch. She stood up immediately as she saw me, clearly shocked.
“Who let you pass the gate? What are you doing here?” She asked, eyes raking over me from head to toe. “You shouldn’t be here, Patrick.”
I couldn’t hold back a scoff. “I shouldn’t be here? Why?” I demanded, taking a few steps closer to her.
Her breathing became labored. “Mom doesn’t want you in her house anymore.”
