Valerie Will POV

I heard a soft knock on my door.

Before I could even get up from the bed, a voice followed. “Mama.”

My heart leaped for joy when I realized it was Liam. Patrick had finally brought them. I felt so relieved.

I tried calling his number a million times the other night but his phone was unreachable. I was scared and restless, I couldn’t even get any sleep.

I stood up from the bed and answered the door immediately. When I saw Liam standing outside, I pulled him into a warm embrace.

“Oh, my goodness, you’re safe,” I murmured on his shoulders. “How are you doing? Where is Noah?”

Liam stared at me for a long second after we broke the hug. “Why did they take us?” He asked, his voice almost cracking.

I swallowed hard, pulling him into another hug. “I don’t know baby, they just wanted money or something.”
