I didn’t call Jordan back immediately.
I just let out a deep sigh and dropped my phone.
Then I started the car and drove back to the house. Throughout the ride, I couldn’t stop thinking about Jordan’s texts.
Did Lisa really release a press statement about us? But it wasn’t even up to twenty-four hours yet.
When we were halfway home, it was then that I realized that I had even forgotten to call Valerie to tell her that we were on our way back home.
I didn’t bother calling her anymore, we would see each other at home.
A few minutes later, we arrived at the house.
The kids ran into the house while I stayed back in the car. I reached out for my phone and dialed Jordan’s number.
It rang a few times, but he didn’t respond.
Letting out a low groan, I decided to go online and check what the news was on my own. I wasn’t prepared for what I saw next.
