Summer’s POV
My heart thrashed. However, even if I wanted to concentrate on him, I couldn't because a single slight shift of my head would make me see stars.
The sound of his name brought a wave of nostalgia that I couldn’t recall, yet not surprise that he was also part of my past. To be honest, it was becoming increasingly difficult to distinguish between friend and foe now. Given that I had wronged many people in the past, I often encounter them these days.
Today, something happened that differed totally from the norm, as there was someone who didn't express anger towards me. It was surprised to see he was glad to see me and showed genuine concern.
“I shouldn’t let him destroy you like this…”
